Pauline Le Bel
"Le Bel's voice is passionate and expressive,
and her lyrics express a dark, antic wit and clarity.
Don't miss the opportunity to see this dynamic performer and hear these songs."
... Calgary Straight, March 30, 2000
The first sound Pauline Le Bel remembers hearing is her mother playing a Gershwin tune on the piano. Born in a small francophone community in southern Ontario, she learned to sing the popular songs of the day in both French and English. After receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice and Piano from the University of Alberta (1975), she performed in theatres across Canada, singing principal roles in Godspell; Threepenny Opera; The Bear; Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, and Piaf; Her Songs, Her Loves.
