‘CANADIAN’ COUNTRY STAR IN THE MAKING

As a five year old, Haley Breedlove was in love with the sound of country music.

Now, this beautiful young lady is well on her way, establishing her own style and passionately developing her talents.

Haley continues to study music with voice, songwriting, piano and guitar playing her main passions.

This passion and her talent and energy in entertaining her audience are evident every time she performs.

As a performer, Haley’s comfortable stage presence and voice have been recognized by Bill Buckingham, one of BC’s biggest country record producers. Haley’s debut album was released September 1st, 2006. The album ‘This Is Me’ has created quite a stir from those in the country music industry. You can download Haley’s tunes through ‘I Tunes’.

A caring and giving personality at a very young age, many charities have enjoyed Haley’s performances.  Her greatest personal commitment though is to impoverished children throughout the world and she sponsors a little girl from Mali, Africa through World Vision and plans to do a lot more for as many children as she possibly can.

Holly Arntzen It’s A Matter Of Heart

It’s A Matter Of Heart was produced between 1994 and 1996. It features Holly with David Sinclair on guitar, and other well known Vancouver musicians including guitarist Stephen Nikleva, bassist Tom Christiansen and harmonica player Keith Bennett. The title track was composed by Stan Rogers. The album addresses the issues of environment and social justice. It was produced by Tom Newman, the co-producer of "Tubular Bells I & II" (Mike Oldfield), and Bill Buckingham (Skywalk).

Irene Jackson
Motor Scooter

Recorded between 1996 and 1997 in Irene's studio, Moonstone Productions, Motor Scooter was Irene's first CD release.  Participating in the recording were:

Iain Cameron, bass,
Deb Rhymer, background vocals,
Mike Sampson, lead guitar and
Sean Wallbridge, percussion.

The CD is a collection of fine folk/pop/country style songwriting, plenty of acoustic guitar and a fresh, "live" sound.  The recording was done over a period of 6 months using a 1" reel-to-reel Tascam MSR-24 recorder, a Mackie CR-1604-VLZ board, a ProVerb effects processor and dbx 1 compressor/limiter.  Irene was the jack of all trades, alternating between engineer, producer, songwriter and performer.  "My idea was to have the songs as the centre of the recording.  I began by building a simple arrangement around each one, that was meant to create solid support without interfering with each song's original feel.  It's difficult going from performer, filling in all of the "spaces", and then going into a studio and letting all of the players create those fills!  But I'm pretty pleased with the results."

Jolene White
Broken Down Angel

Jolene White's debut CD is beautifully real. Filled with the ups and downs we all experience with relationships. Masterfully produced by Zak Cohen of The Woodworking Recording Studio. Jolene's CD easily places near the top of Vancouver Island releases. A regular performer at the Island Folk Festival, Jolene White has a show well worth catching. Did I mention she's related to Diamond Joe and Penny White. For Diamond Joe fans, Jolene offers a treat covering her Dad's song "Let Go of Me" with Joe singing backup. We look forward to more recordings from this talented singer-songwriter.

Judy Brunet
Pieces Of View

Judy Brunet comes back to the Comox Valley from the island community of Sointula, BC where she has delighted audiences for many years. This memorable acoustic performer and songwriter brings a unique style and repertoire to the stage. Her warm vocals, expressive nuances, and insightful lyrics have been an enjoyable addition to North Island fundraisers, coffee houses, festivals, and community events for many years.

Born in southern Alberta, and raised in Calgary, she grew up listening to her mom's favorite country artists. Her love for singing naturally led to a love for performing and included regular appearances on "Calgary Safety Roundup", a telelvision program featuring young talent. After moving to Vancouver Island she spent her teen years in the Comox Valley absorbing the sounds of Christine McVie, Carly Simon, and Carole King among others. She also learned to play the guitar and began writing songs of her own, as well as short stories and comedic monologues.

Generously supported by those who have appreciated her musical contributions, Judy produced her debut CD "Pieces of View" from her home, and released it in November 2002. The album is a mix of original blues, easy listening, and spiritual songs, and features additional Sointula musicians Randy Stark, Andre Kaufmann, and Liz Harvey.

A second recording, "Persuaded" is in the works and Judy looks forward to new opportunities to develop her skills as a producer, writer, musician, and performer.
